BR Law’s Patrick Yap Represents Singapore Bar at Singapore Malaysia Bench & Bar Games

BR Law Associate Director Patrick Yap represented the Singapore Bar in table tennis at the Singapore Malaysia Bench & Bar Games 2026, held at the Singapore Swimming Club on Saturday, 29 August 2026.

The Games brought members of the Singapore & Malaysian Bench and Bar, including future Chief Justice Suresh Nair, together for a day of friendly competition in badminton and table tennis where the Singapore team emerged victorious.

At 70, Patrick was the oldest table tennis player taking part in this year’s Games. Having played since the age of five, he first took part in the competition in 1982 and has represented the Singapore Bar on numerous occasions since. This year, his doubles partner was around the same age as his youngest child – a fitting reflection of how the Games bring together members of the legal profession across generations.

We congratulate Patrick and the Singapore team on a well-earned victory!
